• Revenue Cycle Oversight: Direct the comprehensive revenue cycle process, which encompasses prior-authorization, utilization review, billing, collections, and management of accounts receivable.
• Billing and Collections: Ensure the accurate and prompt submission of claims to insurance providers and governmental programs.
• Compliance and Regulations: Guarantee adherence to federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to billing and revenue cycle management.
• Team Leadership: Recruit, guide, and mentor the revenue cycle team, promoting a culture of ongoing improvement and professional development.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Spearhead the establishment and execution of KPIs for revenue cycle operations, supervising the assessment and reporting of these metrics.
• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with clinical colleagues, financial analysts, and IT teams to optimize revenue cycle processes and ensure smooth operations.
• Strategic Planning: Engage in strategic planning efforts aimed at improving the organization's financial performance.
• A Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline. A Master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in revenue cycle management, including a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or management position, ideally within a behavioral health context.
• In-depth knowledge of billing practices, coding, and payer requirements specific to behavioral health care.
• Proficiency in revenue cycle management software and electronic health record (EHR) platforms.
• Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid requirements).
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability to address the varied needs of clients in a dynamic environment.
