This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• We are looking for a results-oriented Sales Director to actively enhance our presence within West Coast retail accounts in the perishable produce sector.
• The Sales Director will utilize established relationships with regional and national grocery retailers to obtain new listings, broaden distribution, and boost sales velocity across both fresh and prepared food categories.
• This leader will be responsible for retail customer strategy and sales performance while ensuring seamless collaboration with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Marketing to provide top-tier service and flawless product execution within a dynamic and complex business environment.
• You will operate with a sense of urgency, accountability, and an unwavering focus on closing deals—navigating uncertainties, eliminating obstacles, and converting opportunities into tangible results.
• Success in this position will be evaluated based on revenue growth, margin performance, distribution expansion, service levels, and customer satisfaction.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Over 8 years of progressive retail sales leadership experience, preferably in perishable or fresh food, including produce and deli.
• Proven success in opening grocery retail accounts on the West Coast.
• A demonstrable record of securing new business and expanding distribution.
• Experience managing national and regional retail customers such as Costco, Starbucks, Albertsons, and Trader Joe's.
• Strong financial acumen and pricing discipline, emphasizing topline growth while maintaining a focus on bottom line results.
• Executive presence with the capability to influence stakeholders both internally and externally.
• High urgency, resilience, and a competitive spirit are essential.
• Travel is required, predominantly on the West Coast, with occasional trips to the East Coast for corporate meetings throughout the year.
