This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of medium-to-large regulatory and compliance change tickets from initial intake to final closure documentation.
• Convert legal and business requirements into business, technology, and procedural specifications.
• Collaborate with the Legal team to identify necessary updates in systems, processes, controls, policies, and procedures.
• Create comprehensive requirements for system configuration, decision-making, workflows, fields, and technology improvements.
• Engage with Technology teams, business partners, and external vendors to execute compliance-related system modifications.
• Design and document non-technology solutions, process revisions, control enhancements, and policy or procedural adjustments.
• Lead compliance workstreams by managing deliverables, timelines, dependencies, risks, and responsibilities of stakeholders.
• Investigate regulatory requirements, controls, operational processes, and existing workflows.
• Organize, coordinate, and assist in validation and testing activities.
• Analyze testing outcomes, identify gaps, and initiate follow-up actions.
• Compile project summaries, status reports, and dashboards for leadership and governance meetings.
• Preserve documentation of decisions, requirements, testing evidence, approvals, and implementation results.
• Detect recurring issues and propose enhancements for processes, systems, and documentation.
• Conduct implementation meetings and maintain communication with Legal, Operations, Technology, Risk, leadership, and other stakeholders.
• Offer informal guidance to analysts and coordinators.
• Promote the continuous improvement of the Regulatory and Compliance Change Management program.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Background in compliance management, regulatory change, or compliance-related business analysis and technology alterations.
• Strong comprehension of regulatory requirements and compliance best practices.
• Experience in mortgage operations, ideally in front-end mortgage operations.
• Practical knowledge of how regulatory requirements influence real-world workflows.
• Familiarity with Encompass Loan Origination Software or similar loan origination systems is preferred.
• Experience in developing, coordinating, or assessing validation and testing efforts.
• Capability to translate regulatory guidance, investor requirements, or internal policy expectations into system functionality, business requirements, process updates, and documentation revisions.
• Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, communication, collaboration, organizational, prioritization, and time management abilities.
• Proven ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, and create practical, defensible recommendations.
• Proficiency in thoroughly documenting work for auditors, examiners, and internal reviewers.
