Director, Real Estate – Global Transaction Services, Corporate Portfolio Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the global real estate transaction services platform, encompassing the operating model, governance, and delivery standards.

• Develop and uphold standardized transaction processes, playbooks, templates, and controls across all regions.

• Ensure consistent execution from demand intake to closure and the handoff to lease administration.

• Provide guidance to finance, legal, risk, and EH&S functional partners.

• Manage transaction outcomes and prepare executive-level reports.

• Oversee KPIs, metrics, Control Tower support, cycle time, savings, and risk indicators.

• Govern and manage the global transaction management partner in accordance with SLAs, KPIs, and contractual obligations.

• Lead partner performance evaluations, issue resolution, and resource planning.

• Offer guidance on transaction commissions and ensure the accuracy, transparency, and compliance of commission structures.

• Identify performance gaps, delivery risks, and resource misalignment; escalate issues and intervene when execution quality may be compromised.

• Spearhead continuous improvement and transformation initiatives utilizing technology, analytics, and automation.

• Act as the Corporate Portfolio Manager for the global corporate real estate portfolio.

• Monitor capacity, utilization, lease expirations, option events, business risks, cost exposure, and flexibility.

• Translate business requirements into actionable projects while managing complexity for internal customers.

• Align transactions with portfolio strategy, workforce plans, and capital objectives.

• Proactively raise issues, opportunities, and trade-offs to leadership.

• Oversee the development, quality, and approval of real estate business cases.

• Willingness to travel up to 20–30%.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 14+ years of experience in corporate real estate transactions, portfolio management, or enterprise real estate leadership.

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and education in lieu of a degree.

• 10+ years of experience working at a global scale within a large, matrixed organization.

• 8+ years of experience managing third-party service providers and ensuring accountability to performance standards.

• Strong financial, commercial, and risk management acumen.

• Comprehensive understanding of lease structures and transaction economics.

• U.S. citizenship is required.

• Ability to work in a U.S.-based role.

• Experience in building or transforming transaction management platforms is preferred.

• Data-driven, process-focused, and oriented towards continuous improvement.

• Proven ability to balance speed, rigor, and stakeholder expectations.
