This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead, mentor, and cultivate a team of project managers executing intricate automation programs with a portfolio exceeding $250 million.
• Develop and expand the project management organization as program demands rise, including recruiting, onboarding, and nurturing project managers.
• Supervise project delivery performance, encompassing scope, schedule, budget, risk, safety, and customer satisfaction.
• Serve as the primary escalation contact for customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders regarding cost, schedule, quality, or safety concerns.
• Propel continuous enhancement and standardization of project delivery across the program and region in collaboration with the PMO.
• Foresee risks, pinpoint opportunities, and implement proactive action plans to ensure projects remain on course.
• Deliver clear communication and weekly updates on progress, risks, and achievements to Symbotic leadership and customer executives.
• Guarantee adherence to Symbotic’s project delivery standards and best practices.
• Promote accountability, transparency, and growth within the team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders and customers to provide high-quality, revenue-generating automation solutions.
• Act as the sole point of accountability for the portfolio, ensuring timely, budget-friendly delivery of projects that meet high safety and quality standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, supply chain, business administration, or a related discipline.
• MBA or a relevant master's degree is preferred.
• At least 10 years of project or program management experience in large-scale, cross-functional settings that integrate hardware, software, and controls.
• Minimum of 5 years of direct leadership experience, including the building, scaling, mentoring, and development of project management teams.
• Proven ownership of programs exceeding $200M, managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Experience in delivering large capital projects in complex, customer-facing, general contractor, or design-build settings.
• Capability to engage with customer executives, negotiate effectively, and align competing priorities across technical and business teams.
• Background in material handling, industrial automation, robotics, AS/RS, goods-to-person, micro-fulfillment, e-commerce fulfillment, or cold storage environments.
• Strong analytical abilities with experience in utilizing metrics and data to foster accountability, visibility, and continuous improvement.
• PMP certification is preferred.
• Lean or continuous improvement experience is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Familiarity with Smartsheet, Jira, and Teamcenter is preferred.
• Collaborative and motivational leadership style suitable for fast-paced, evolving environments.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to drive and/or fly to client and customer locations.
• Must adhere to safety requirements and protocols, including lockout/tagout and fall protection.
• Capability to routinely climb and navigate steep stairs within the automation structure.
• Ability to work in temperatures ranging from 105° to 32° Fahrenheit.
