
Director, Programmatic Revenue – Ad Monetization

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive monetization strategy aimed at achieving quarterly revenue goals across display, video, and in-app inventory.
• Create and execute yield strategies by optimizing price floors, Unified Pricing Rules (UPR), and auction dynamics, while conducting experiments to balance revenue, user engagement, and long-term customer lifetime value (LTV).
• Establish frameworks that streamline ad-tech operations, facilitating the quick integration and monetization of newly acquired digital assets.
• Design and manage the performance of the programmatic stack, which includes header bidding wrappers (Prebid, Amazon TAM), mediation platforms, and primary ad servers.
• Supervise SDK integrations and proactively address latency, rendering rate, and revenue leakage issues to guarantee efficient delivery at scale.
• Manage and negotiate strategic partnerships with SSPs, DSPs, exchanges, and agency trading desks to secure premium demand and favorable commercial agreements.
• Enhance high-value demand channels by growing Private Marketplace (PMP) and Programmatic Guaranteed (PG) deals.
• Collaborate with Data & Decision Science to establish KPIs, analyze performance metrics, and convert insights into actionable, revenue-enhancing strategies.
• Work alongside Engineering and Product teams to influence the ad product roadmap, ensuring placements are performance-optimized and comply with privacy regulations to maximize monetization.
• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing ad operations and yield team, promoting a culture of rigorous testing, optimization, and operational excellence.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or analytical discipline (such as Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or Business Analytics) or equivalent professional experience.
• Over 10 years of professional experience in ad-tech or digital monetization, including more than 5 years in a senior leadership role focused on yield strategy.
• Proven success in managing programmatic revenue for both mobile applications (iOS/Android) and web products, with extensive experience in SDK and web-based implementations.
• Expert-level technical understanding of the programmatic ecosystem, including RTB mechanics, OpenRTB protocols, unified auctions, and MRAID standards.
• Hands-on expertise with the contemporary ad-tech stack, particularly Ad Servers (e.g., Google Ad Manager), Header Bidding wrappers (e.g., Prebid, Amazon TAM), and mediation platforms (e.g., AppLovin MAX).
• In-depth technical knowledge of demand partners (e.g., Magnite, Index Exchange, PubMatic) and the shifting commercial dynamics of global DSPs.
• Proficiency in high-level technical quality assurance for ad tags, tracking pixels, and SDK integrations to identify and rectify delivery inconsistencies and latency issues.
• Strong analytical capabilities to interpret complex bid metrics and pricing trends using BI tools; proven ability to collaborate with Data Science teams to translate LTV modeling and trials into high-growth yield strategies.
• Comprehensive understanding of user privacy regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and platform-specific requirements like Apple’s ATT and Google’s Privacy Sandbox.
