Director, Product Operations

📋 Description

• Take ownership and enhance the product operating framework, which includes annual planning, quarterly product assessments, and ongoing product leadership meetings to ensure team alignment and swift progress.

• Foster cross-functional accountability among Product, Engineering, Design, Data Science, and GTM teams by facilitating structured communication, decision-making forums, and program tracking.

• Lead and nurture a team of Product Operations managers, setting a high standard for operational excellence throughout the organization.

• Establish and uphold a strong Product Insights capability — integrating customer feedback, usage data, market trends, and competitive intelligence to guide product strategy and prioritization.

• Collaborate with Product & Engineering leaders to define and monitor KPIs and success metrics across the product portfolio, enhancing accountability and transparency regarding progress.

• Create and execute scalable processes for product launches, feature rollouts, and go-to-market coordination, ensuring seamless transitions between product and commercial teams.

• Identify and remove operational bottlenecks that hinder product velocity; proactively enhance team workflows, not just focus on deliverables.

• Advocate for, exemplify, and integrate Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we expand globally and into new offices.

• Recruit, develop, and lead a diverse, engaged, and high-performing team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in product management, product operations, program management, or a closely related discipline.

• At least 5 years in a product operations, chief of staff, or senior program management position within a product-driven technology company.
