This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assume responsibility for product management from the founding PM and develop it into a comprehensive product function.
• Establish hiring strategies, define role specifications, and implement practices for discovery, prioritization, and documentation.
• Directly oversee the Feanix data platform, which includes APIs, data products, contracts, and abstractions.
• Streamline farm onboarding processes to enhance speed and flexibility in collaboration with Farm Success and Farm Ops.
• Recruit and nurture PMs as engineering teams are formed, aiming for 2–3 direct reports within the next 12 months.
• Collaborate with the CEO and CTO to contribute to product strategy.
• Manage the product roadmap and prioritization through the delivery of shipped products.
• Operate the platform as a product, evaluating adoption and friction while prioritizing based on farm value.
• Connect legacy dairy management systems with modern product solutions.
• Participate in farm visits to link platform decisions with the customer experience.
• Minimum of 8 years of product management experience, including the mentorship and development of PMs.
• Ideally, have experience in both startup environments and mid-sized companies with structured product practices.
• Proven success in establishing product processes, including setting up a product function or defining product methodologies as the first PM.
• Experience as a PM for data platforms, APIs, or infrastructure products aimed at serving engineers and internal teams.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver business value from intricate data types, such as genomics, sensor data, or extensive real-world datasets.
• Possess a forward-thinking vision for product management in an agentic, LLM-driven landscape.
• Regularly utilize LLMs, agents, and automation, with tangible projects developed using these technologies.
• Capable of translating technical platform functionalities into business and customer benefits.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Comfortable operating in a player-coach capacity.
• Willingness to travel 20–25% of the time, primarily to locations in the western U.S., customer sites, and headquarters.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Preferred: experience with decision platforms or decision-support products.
• Preferred: familiarity with genomics or bioinformatics.
• Preferred: experience in the dairy industry or broader agricultural sectors.
• Preferred: experience in extending internal platforms to external consumers via partner APIs or integrations.
• Preferred: foundational knowledge in statistics and machine learning.
