This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product managers, cultivating a culture of ownership, experimentation, and continuous enhancement.
• Establish clear objectives and development plans for team members; conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching.
• Collaborate with recruiting to expand the PM team as the business grows, identifying talent and building a robust hiring pipeline.
• Create clarity and alignment within the team regarding priorities, roadmap, and success metrics.
• Define and take ownership of the multi-year product vision and roadmap for the Consumer Product team, ensuring alignment with company strategy and growth objectives.
• Convert business goals into clear product initiatives, sequenced for maximum impact and learning opportunities.
• Identify new market opportunities, including new insurance products like Indexed Universal Life and Whole Life, and devise go-to-market strategies to capture them.
• Stay ahead of consumer trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies to inform product strategy.
• Oversee the complete consumer experience, from top-of-funnel acquisition to purchase and onboarding, driving measurable enhancements in conversion rates and user satisfaction.
• Educate consumers on the importance of Life Insurance and empower them to select the appropriate type and level of coverage for their families.
• Promote a culture of rapid experimentation: define hypotheses, design tests, and utilize results to drive product decisions with rigor and speed.
• Eliminate friction from the application experience and identify opportunities to encourage users toward completion and coverage.
• Ensure all consumer experiences are built on a foundation of accessibility, delight, and simplicity.
• Act as the senior product voice in cross-functional forums, influencing roadmap prioritization and resource allocation decisions.
• Foster strong working relationships with Engineering, Design, Data Science, Marketing, and Actuarial partners.
• Clearly communicate product strategy, progress, and results to executive leadership and the wider organization.
• Drive alignment on shared goals across product, engineering, and business teams to ensure cohesive execution.
• 8+ years of experience as a product manager in a high-growth technology company, developing consumer products at a large scale.
• 3+ years of experience in managing and developing product managers, with a proven track record of cultivating high-performing PM teams.
• Experience in fintech, insurtech, or other regulated consumer sectors is advantageous.
• Exceptional ability to generate, test, and refine hypotheses using a combination of data, user insights, and market trends, ensuring product decisions are both innovative and impactful.
• Strong analytical focus with an emphasis on data-driven decision-making; capability to measure success rigorously across a portfolio of initiatives.
• Proficient in self-service analytics using tools like SQL and Amplitude; comfortable collaborating with data science for complex analyses.
• Proven ability to translate strategic ideas into actionable roadmaps, rapid prototypes, and iterative, feedback-driven product enhancements.
• Demonstrated experience in leading and scaling PM organizations, including hiring, onboarding, and talent development.
• Ability to operate effectively at various levels — from setting long-term vision to engaging in hands-on execution when necessary.
• Exceptional communication skills and executive presence; capability to influence without authority across functions and levels.
• A strong history of solving complex customer problems and translating them into sustainable business growth.
