This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee organization-wide procurement for a U.S.-based enterprise software firm specializing in healthcare IT.
• Manage the complete sourcing strategy, supplier negotiations, contractual commercial terms, and supplier performance across essential spending categories.
• Direct negotiations, competitive RFP/RFQ processes, supplier selection, and contracting methodologies.
• Set negotiation benchmarks and enhance cost, quality, delivery, and risk management.
• Serve as the executive owner for key suppliers and strategic partners, which includes governance, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), scorecards, risk management, and issue escalation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional budget owners to ensure sourcing aligns with business strategy and operational plans.
• Propel spend planning, demand management, renewal planning, forecast accuracy, and sourcing recommendations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of four procurement buyers.
• Create scalable procurement workflows and track team performance metrics (KPIs).
• Provide executive reporting and briefings on procurement performance, savings, renewal risks, supplier concentration, and sourcing decisions.
• Develop dashboards and leadership materials that cover savings, committed spending, and contract compliance.
• Monitor procurement savings, KPIs, and financial performance; report findings to senior management.
• Develop and report on service level agreements while driving issue resolution.
• Collaborate with Legal, Security, and Privacy on commercial and risk terms.
• Maintain discipline in contract repository management and visibility of commercial terms.
• Ensure procurement activities adhere to company policies, industry standards, and legal regulations.
• Lead initiatives for supply chain risk mitigation and business continuity.
• Support SOC audits and oversee quarterly vendor evaluations.
• Enhance procurement policies, controls, P2P compliance, and standardized intake processes.
• Optimize procurement systems and tools in collaboration with Finance and IT.
• Coordinate vendor risk alignment for healthcare IT, encompassing security questionnaires, data access controls, and incident response expectations.
• Assist with audits and meet customer expectations by providing the necessary third-party documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
• At least 10 years of advancing procurement/sourcing experience, including supplier negotiations and contract commercial management.
• Experience in enterprise software, SaaS, or technology sectors.
• Proven success in leading negotiations with technology vendors, covering SaaS, cloud, software licensing, and professional services.
• Experience in people management, with direct leadership of a team or strong evidence of mentorship/leadership potential.
• Capable of managing and developing a team of four buyers.
• Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and collaborate with budget owners.
• Excellent executive communication skills.
• Strong commercial understanding of pricing models, renewal dynamics, and total cost drivers.
• Expertise in negotiation and sound judgment for escalation.
• Proficient in Excel/modeling; skilled at quantifying savings and constructing business cases.
• Ability to establish repeatable processes, clear accountability, and measurable KPIs.
• Capacity to promote the adoption of procurement standards.
• Leadership capability to foster a high-performing team culture and coach buyers effectively.
• Experience in healthcare IT is highly favored.
• A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Must be U.S.-based and eligible to work in the U.S.
