Director, People Business Partner

📋 Description

• Lead large-scale organizational change initiatives within the Engineering Organization, collaborating with senior leadership to manage transitions, optimize employee engagement, mitigate resistance, and ensure effective integration during times of transformation, mergers, or acquisitions.

• Spearhead leadership development programs, including executive coaching and succession planning, to ensure a robust, diverse leadership pipeline that is prepared to tackle future business challenges.

• Supervise the facilitation and strategic alignment of all talent development initiatives, partnering with internal teams to guarantee that learning, career advancement, and mobility programs resonate with organizational priorities and encourage ongoing growth.

• Take charge of enhancing organizational effectiveness, employee satisfaction, and the overall workforce experience by designing and implementing targeted interventions based on a thorough understanding of employee needs and business objectives.

• Collaborate with the senior leadership team to promote organizational alignment, ensuring that business strategies are backed by efficient talent, leadership, and people practices that improve both individual and collective performance.

• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, mentoring them on complex people-related challenges, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness to enhance leadership capabilities and boost team performance.

• Work alongside senior executives and leadership teams to implement innovative talent strategies that directly contribute to business growth, strengthen organizational capability, and foster high performance throughout the organization.

• Partner closely with the broader People team COEs to advance organizational culture initiatives that reinforce a high-performance mindset, encourage employee engagement, and cultivate a collaborative, inclusive atmosphere across all organizational levels.

• Provide strategic advice on organizational design, people strategy, and talent architecture, ensuring a cohesive alignment between organizational needs, business priorities, and people-related initiatives on an enterprise-wide scale.

• Lead the implementation of comprehensive talent management strategies, including performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, and high-potential development, ensuring a pipeline of future leaders aligned with business requirements.

• Direct efforts to establish strategic workforce planning initiatives, ensuring that talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies are in sync with the organization’s evolving business goals and objectives.

• Utilize advanced people analytics to deliver actionable insights into workforce trends, employee engagement, retention, and other key performance indicators, facilitating data-driven decision-making at the senior leadership level.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 12 years in People-related roles, including at least 5 years in a PBP or equivalent position.

• Over 4 years of experience as a people manager.

• Previous experience collaborating with the Technology organization or Engineering is essential.

• Proven experience in coaching leaders through performance management and employee relations challenges.

• Strong listening and persuasive communication skills, capable of influencing actions and outcomes at all organizational levels.

• Intellectual curiosity about people and organizational issues, combined with solid business acumen.

• Experience establishing trusted advisor relationships with executive team members.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities; capable of conveying information clearly and succinctly.

• Proficient in project management, change management, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

• A proactive mindset with the ability to convert vision into actionable outcomes.

• Previous experience in fast-paced environments and aiding organizations in scaling is highly desirable.
