Director, Online & Digital Sales

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Accountable for spearheading the adult trade sales strategy and overseeing daily sales operations for Amazon as well as other online and digital retail accounts.

• Oversees, mentors, and enhances the skills of a team of National Account Managers.

• Guides the team in optimizing sales through online and digital channels.

• Establishes and nurtures robust relationships with publishing leadership and heads of sales divisions.

• Acts as a vital partner to publishers and internal stakeholders.

• Plans strategically for the development and expansion of frontlist and backlist titles.

• Collaborates with account contacts and internal associates.

• Constructs and oversees monthly, seasonal, and annual account budgets.

• Leverages data, reporting, and account insights to assess title performance.

• Works in close partnership with operations and inventory teams.

• Represents the online/digital retail channel in broader discussions around sales and publishing.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 7 years of prior experience in publishing sales or marketing.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in presentations.

• Strong analytical capabilities.

• Ability to thrive under pressure and resolve problems effectively.

• Self-motivated and adaptable to evolving priorities and environments.

• Demonstrated success in planning and managing both strategically and operationally.

• Prior experience in a supervisory role.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the book market, including familiarity with the industry supply chain, authors, titles, category performance, and publishing trends.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
