This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and implement processes and procedures to establish a high-quality Student Success Program within the virtual school.
• Provide guidance and leadership to the Student Success Team.
• Assist students and parents in understanding and fulfilling graduation requirements, selecting courses, scheduling, planning for post-secondary education, enhancing overall student success, engaging students, and providing crisis intervention.
• Create, plan, and execute student success programs for students and families that focus on academic and career planning as well as graduation.
• Oversee the Student Success Department, developing processes to maintain the Student Success Plan for each individual student.
• Help students and parents in formulating a Four-Year plan to meet graduation requirements.
• Supervise a team of leadership and staff, including student success coaches and counselors within the Student Success Department.
• Organize and oversee the secondary school course selection process in accordance with specific state credit and graduation criteria, as well as student interests and needs.
• Provide support for students and staff regarding course drops and schedule changes.
• Establish and implement procedures to ensure that Connections Academy transcripts are accurate and current.
• Generate and authorize official transcripts for families upon request.
• Design, strategize, and implement initiatives aimed at students and families that address comprehensive counseling plans.
• Offer support for all high school testing and coordinate with the District Testing Coordinator, including exit exams, ACT, and AP exams.
• Possession of an Arkansas Teaching, Counseling, Social Work, or Administrative License.
• An advanced degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Administration.
• A minimum of 3 years of preferred leadership experience in a secondary school environment.
• Experience in School Counseling is preferred.
• Willingness to travel for administrative duties and state testing events, which may include occasional overnight travel.
• Availability to work some evenings as needed to support families.
• Must have a dedicated office space free from distractions and ensure the careful management of student information.
