This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of TPMA's new business number and manage a personal pipeline of high-impact consulting opportunities.
• Oversee full-cycle pursuits, encompassing discovery, opportunity shaping, proposal strategy, and closing.
• Involve subject matter experts and consulting leaders at the appropriate stages of deals.
• Increase repeat and expansion revenue from existing clients.
• Develop pipeline through networking, referrals, partnerships, and targeted outreach efforts.
• Make go/no-go decisions on potential opportunities, including RFPs.
• Rapidly disqualify opportunities that do not align with our goals.
• Conduct weekly pipeline reviews.
• Maintain an honest and up-to-date perspective on every deal in HubSpot.
• Ensure compliance with deal stages, milestones, and exit criteria.
• Monitor win rates, cycle times, and pipeline coverage, and report the findings.
• Collaborate with the proposal team on pursuits while managing strategy and relationships.
• Involve executives and subject matter experts in closing discussions.
• Contribute to fostering a firm-wide culture of collaboration in sales.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team through consistent feedback, performance expectations, and accountability.
• Report directly to executive leadership.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant full-cycle sales or business development experience.
• Formal training in consultative selling or a proven proficiency in it.
• Demonstrated success in independently building and managing a sales pipeline.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience utilizing a CRM to manage your sales activities; familiarity with HubSpot is a plus.
• Proven ability to generate new revenue through proactive relationship development and consultative selling rather than primarily responding to cold RFPs or unsolicited inquiries.
• Capacity to lead, coach, and develop a team by providing consistent feedback, establishing clear performance expectations, and promoting accountability.
• Experience in selling consultative, multi-stakeholder deals with extended sales cycles.
• Ability to manage multiple deals at different stages simultaneously.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain updated CRM records and ensure timely follow-up.
• Skill in recognizing when an opportunity is not suitable and offering a valued off-ramp suggestion.
• Quick learner with the ability to apply feedback effectively.
• Experience working in a small or growing company and managing organized chaos.
• Proficiency in complex consultative selling and engaging with executive clients.
• Executive presence with the ability to influence C-suite leaders.
• Experience selling professional services or consulting is preferred.
• Familiarity with public-sector or institutional buyers, such as state and local governments, higher education, and community-based organizations is preferred.
• Fluency in workforce development and economic development terminology is preferred.
• On-target earnings of $135,000, with uncapped commission based on performance.
• Structured onboarding and weekly coaching from our sales partner, Stompbox.
