Director of Strategic Communications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and develop strategic communications, branding, marketing, and outreach initiatives.

• Act as the subject matter expert on government socioeconomic programs, such as SBA 8(a), HUBZone, SAM registration, and relevant certifications.

• Provide guidance to executive leadership regarding government contracting strategies, procurement opportunities, regulatory requirements, and market trends.

• Establish and enhance relationships with government agencies, contracting officials, tribal organizations, strategic partners, and industry stakeholders.

• Assist in business development, capture planning, and proposal strategy through executive-level support and strategic recommendations.

• Represent the organization at conferences, industry events, outreach activities, and government engagement opportunities.

• Contribute to positioning GovStrive for sustained growth and success across government markets.

• Enhance GovStrive's market presence, ensure compliance with essential government programs and certifications, cultivate strategic partnerships, and equip executive leadership with actionable insights that promote organizational growth and long-term success.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.

• Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in communications, government programs, government contracting, marketing, business development, or a related field.

• Familiarity with SBA 8(a), HUBZone, SAM registration, and other government socioeconomic programs.

• Understanding of government procurement processes and business development practices.

• Outstanding written, verbal, presentation, and relationship management skills.

• Preferred experience in managing SBA certifications or government small business programs.

• Preferred experience in supporting federal business development, capture planning, or proposal efforts.

• Preferred knowledge of Native American communities, tribal governments, and tribal economic development initiatives.

• Preferred experience in working within or supporting government contracting environments.
