This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Oversees collaborative sales initiatives to achieve or surpass quotas for specialized product lines, often in partnership with sales account managers.
• Serves as the subject matter expert, providing training to sales personnel and customer service representatives on product features, advantages, and demonstrations.
• Works closely with marketing, editorial, and account management teams to devise market-specific strategies, pinpoint customer needs, and enhance product positioning.
• Engages directly with clients to comprehend requirements, address technical issues, and illustrate product value.
• Tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess revenue achievements and improve sales efforts and processes.
• Leads a team of dedicated experts, connecting sales and product teams to refine go-to-market strategies, educate staff, and boost product adoption and marketability.
• Conducts market analysis to identify new programs and budgets, implementing innovative methods to discover new opportunities and deliver substantial customer value.
• In-depth knowledge of academic eBook products and offerings.
• Proven track record of developing proposals and strategies that yield commercial returns in a specific market.
• Demonstrated sales experience with accountability and a successful track record of revitalizing an existing customer base.
• Familiarity with the academic research and/or higher education sectors.
• Significant experience in team leadership and mentorship.
• A demonstrated ability to recognize ‘big picture’ trends and shifts within a sector to identify appealing market segments and key sources of competitive advantage is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proven capability to plan and manage projects and budgets effectively.
• Established experience in aligning product, marketing, and subject matter experts within an organization, along with the ability to effectively engage with external stakeholders.
• Proven history of effectively interacting with senior executives, clarifying business options, and facilitating decision-making processes.
• Demonstrated experience in disciplined, data-driven sales strategy development and decision-making.
• Experience in line management.
• Annual base salary range of $150,000 - $175,000 + up to 30% bonus if annual OTE's are met.
• Base salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
