This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead a team to enhance top-line revenue growth by focusing on the retention and expansion of Skillsoft’s existing U.S. SLED customer base.
• Propel Skillsoft’s SLED new customer acquisition initiatives to build a robust pipeline and expedite execution.
• Supervise a team that collaborates with Specialist representatives on cross-sell opportunities.
• Possess a proven record of directing SLED sales teams to achieve and exceed quotas, while guiding and developing a team dedicated to fostering a strong pipeline for both existing customer growth and new customer acquisition.
• Inspire and lead a team that thrives by aligning customers’ business and organizational strategic goals with the outcomes that Skillsoft can deliver.
• Drive growth and new customer acquisition by engaging with senior leadership levels.
• Collaborate with associated sales, customer success, marketing, and support teams to successfully advance critical opportunities and enhance market penetration.
• Responsible for preparation for meetings, including research, creating agendas agreed upon by the customer, and delivering a tailored presentation with exceptional follow-up.
• Define measurable and specific business objectives and sales targets with timelines, related to revenue and growth opportunities.
• Provide management, feedback, forecasting, and strategic recommendations concerning pipeline health, risks, opportunities, and progress towards goals.
• 14+ years of professional experience in B2B PaaS or SaaS sales management, along with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of leadership experience, managing a team of 5 or more sales professionals.
• Proven experience leading sales teams in the public sector, including state and local government and/or higher education.
• Demonstrated capability to lead and develop sales professionals, enhancing their effectiveness, productivity, and accountability.
• Experience in creating and implementing regional sales strategies focused on new customer acquisition and growth of existing customers.
• Ability to navigate complex organizations and engage with multiple decision-makers, including C-suite executives.
• Possess creativity and expertise in supporting sales cycles, encompassing prospecting, opportunity qualification, negotiation, closing sales, and fostering repeat business.
• Experienced in navigating intricate public sector contract processes and vehicles.
• Proven track record in managing strategic public sector partner ecosystems.
