This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Take ownership of the function by establishing the strategy, objectives, and operational framework for the entire sales development organization.
• Cultivate leadership by recruiting, mentoring, and holding accountable the managers and team leaders under your guidance.
• Plan for capacity by overseeing the headcount and ramp model to ensure the pipeline grows in alignment with company objectives.
• Safeguard the forecast by providing a pipeline figure that leadership can base their revenue plans on, quarter after quarter.
• Ensure organizational alignment by collaborating with Marketing, Sales, and RevOps on segmentation, routing, and defining what constitutes a qualified opportunity.
• Manage the technology stack and budget by selecting tools and allocating resources that enhance team efficiency, while demonstrating a return on investment.
• A minimum of 6 years in sales development, including at least 2 years of experience managing managers or overseeing a multi-team function.
• Proven experience in establishing and/or scaling sales development (SDR, BDR, or XDR) across multiple regional teams that consistently achieve pipeline targets.
• Strong understanding of funnel economics, including pipeline creation, conversion rates, and team performance against established targets.
• Focus on building a management bench rather than just a representative bench; individuals you have developed are now leading their own teams.
• Ability to operate comfortably alongside executives and take ownership of metrics in revenue planning discussions.
• Bonus points for having successfully scaled a sales development function during a significant growth phase.
• Experience in ERP, vertical SaaS, or selling into the manufacturing and construction sectors is a plus.
