Director of Product Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Define and articulate the vision and strategy for the product.

• Translate the product direction into a long-term roadmap.

• Establish product management methodologies, operating rhythms, and agile practices.

• Enhance prioritization, backlog management, planning, and decision-making processes.

• Lead the transition from a legacy desktop application to a contemporary web-based product.

• Collaborate with Development to balance innovation, technical investments, customer obligations, and business priorities.

• Mentor, guide, and develop three Product Owners.

• Interact directly with customers to understand their workflows, challenges, and priorities.

• Present the product direction while integrating customer feedback into strategy and planning efforts.

• Partner with Development, Sales, Marketing, and industry leaders.

• Provide product insights for positioning, packaging, pricing, strategic accounts, and growth discussions.

• Assist the Product team in adopting AI-enabled work methodologies and the AI Delivery Life Cycle approach.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in leading a product team.

• Background in establishing product management structures, practices, and accountability.

• Experience in coaching and developing Product Owners or Product Managers.

• Capability to offer practical, hands-on product leadership.

• Proficiency in translating customer needs, market opportunities, and business objectives into product strategy and an actionable roadmap.

• Experience in prioritizing competing needs and making product trade-offs.

• Strong understanding of agile principles, backlog management, roadmapping, prioritization, and product lifecycle practices.

• Experience in directly engaging with customers and utilizing their insights in product decisions.

• Ability to present product direction and build credibility with customers and industry stakeholders.

• Skill in cultivating relationships across Development, Sales, Marketing, and leadership teams.

• Proficient in communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences.

• An inquisitive nature regarding emerging technologies, particularly AI-assisted development.

• Interest in AI-enabled tools or methodologies and a willingness to learn and experiment.

• Must possess legal eligibility to work in the US on a continuous basis.
