This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Shape the vision and roadmap of the product as business requirements and platform capabilities develop.
• Manage and prioritize the backlog while crafting clear requirements.
• Make decisions on prioritization and articulate trade-offs to stakeholders.
• Lead refinement sessions, sprint planning, reviews, and ensure follow-through with the engineering team.
• Establish success metrics and report on adoption, value, and performance of the product.
• Facilitate product adoption by engaging early users and collaborating on enablement efforts.
• Build and nurture relationships with stakeholders across various business units.
• Navigate the product through governance and integrate design controls.
• Present updates on product progress, investment considerations, and recommendations to leadership and governance committees.
• Provide product guidance and leadership for the assigned engineering team, including participation in hiring, development planning, performance management, and daily operations.
• Monitor usage, adoption, delivered value, and data quality.
• Report to the Director of Data & AI Product Management.
• Travel up to 20% may be necessary.
• A minimum of seven years of experience in product ownership or management, particularly with data, analytics, or AI products delivered to production.
• Proven experience in creating clear backlogs, requirements, and acceptance criteria.
• Proficient SQL skills.
• Practical knowledge of modern data platform concepts, such as lakehouse architecture, layered data models, and data quality management.
• Experience in defining product success metrics and reporting progress to leadership.
• Background in working with stakeholders across various independent business units or lines of business.
• Experience in supporting an agile delivery rhythm with an engineering team.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical, quantitative, or business discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven track record of leading a product, not merely managing a project.
• Ability to formulate clear and actionable requirements for both technical and business partners.
• Comfortable working with data, including SQL and model evaluation concepts.
• Capable of understanding user needs, championing product direction with senior stakeholders, and adapting based on evidence.
• Preferred: experience in architecture, engineering, construction, or professional services.
• Preferred: familiarity with Databricks, Unity Catalog, or similar governed data platforms.
• Preferred: experience with generative AI product patterns, including retrieval, evaluation, and human review workflows.
• Preferred: prior roles as a data engineer, analyst, or software developer.
