This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the commercial and strategic success of Billtrust’s Invoicing product line, focusing on both buyer-facing and supplier-facing experiences, ensuring global e-invoicing compliance, and enhancing buyer AP portal connectivity.
• Foster data-driven product decisions that contribute to revenue growth, increase e-invoicing adoption, and improve retention rates.
• Manage the roadmap for global e-invoicing compliance, which includes adhering to PEPPOL and VAT/GST mandates.
• Enhance Billtrust’s AP portal network strategy and ensure connectivity reliability.
• Collaborate with Payments to integrate Invoicing and Payments into a unified AR platform strategy.
• Lead, recruit, and nurture a team of 2-4 Product Managers.
• Define, prioritize, and oversee the Invoicing backlog along with the annual planning baseline.
• Propel AI-driven invoice automation, touchless processing, exception handling, and intelligent workflows.
• Serve as the primary commercial liaison across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Engineering teams.
• Conduct competitive analysis, market research, go-to-market strategies, messaging, positioning, and enablement efforts.
• Engage directly with customers to validate the product roadmap, guide adoption, and establish feedback mechanisms.
• Track and report on product KPIs, including revenue growth, e-invoicing adoption, and retention/renewal metrics.
• Travel quarterly for customer onsite meetings and events.
• Report directly to the VP of Product, Software.
• 8-10+ years of experience in commercial and technical product management.
• 3-5+ years of direct experience managing and developing Product Managers.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Background in B2B fintech or SaaS environments.
• Direct experience with invoicing, billing, or AR/AP workflows, including multi-currency or international invoicing requirements.
• Familiarity with AI-powered automation applied in a commercial product setting.
• Knowledge of AP portal networks or mechanics of invoice delivery/placement.
• Proven experience in go-to-market strategies and product launch initiatives.
• Comprehensive commercial insight, including revenue drivers, customer segments, pricing models, adoption behavior, TAM, ICP, and TCP.
• Experience collaborating directly with enterprise customers to convert complex needs into scalable solutions.
• Outstanding communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders effectively.
• Preferred working knowledge of global e-invoicing compliance frameworks such as PEPPOL and VAT/GST mandates.
• Demonstrated achievement in scaling mature products and leading transformation initiatives is preferred.
• Preferred experience in managing platform or application sunsets and handling complex migration programs.
• A track record of promoting AI adoption and implementing AI-first methodologies within a product team is preferred.
