This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Define and promote the long-term UX strategy that aligns with business goals.
• Transform individual components into a cohesive, scalable global Design System and intelligent design framework.
• Incorporate qualitative user research and quantitative data throughout the entire product lifecycle.
• Establish and enhance scalable design processes, tools, and workflows.
• Propel design transformation through AI-driven operating models and collaborative creation.
• Implement agentic AI and predictive insights within the core product, including intuitive patterns for automated disclosures and outlier detection.
• Lead interaction design, usability, and intelligent automation across various product areas.
• Coordinate design direction in alignment with Workiva's Single Source of Truth philosophy.
• Collaborate with executive Product and Engineering leadership.
• Connect design initiatives to UX outcome metrics such as SUS, Adoption, and SOLSAT.
• Represent design in high-level strategic discussions and synthesize both technical and business requirements.
• Influence product roadmaps and prioritize user experience needs.
• Mentor and develop UX managers and individual contributors.
• Facilitate design reviews and critiques focusing on craft, usability, and accessibility.
• Implement processes that enhance design efficiency and translate corporate strategy into measurable design objectives.
• Enhance the team's skills in AI-enabled design tools, workflows, and processes.
• 10+ years of experience in product design.
• A minimum of 5 years in a leadership position within a complex B2B enterprise software setting.
• B.A./B.S. degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• A portfolio showcasing high-quality UI, complex strategic problem-solving, and effective team leadership through product launches.
• Proven track record in designing complex, data-intensive enterprise software or professional-grade productivity tools.
• Extensive experience in architecting information architecture and navigation systems for high-data-density platforms with varied user roles.
• Practical experience in implementing Generative AI, LLMs, or agentic workflows into an active product.
• Demonstrated ability to evolve traditional design methods into AI-enabled, engineering-integrated creation models.
• In-depth experience with enterprise-level composable design systems at scale.
• Previous experience in a high-growth scale-up environment or major digital transformation within a legacy enterprise.
• Familiarity with regulatory, financial reporting, or ESG landscapes is a plus.
• A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Reliable internet access while working remotely.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
