📋 Description

• Establish and take ownership of the comprehensive organic growth strategy encompassing SEO, ASO, GEO, and Extension Store optimization. Set quarterly and annual OKRs linked to impressions, clicks, MAU, installs, and sales.

• Lead, mentor, and cultivate the SEO & Organic Growth team. Promote a culture of experimentation, accountability, and ongoing learning. Identify and recruit for essential capability gaps as necessary.

• Create and sustain a prioritized organic growth roadmap. Balance immediate wins with long-term strategic initiatives. Present plans and progress to senior leadership, including the CEO.

• Act as the organic growth representative in cross-functional planning with AI, Product, Engineering, Content, Brand, Marketing Operations, and International Expansion teams. Ensure that organic considerations are integrated into product launches, site architecture decisions, and content strategy.

• Serve as a key influencer on the Product roadmap by highlighting organic growth opportunities, user intent data, and insights from the search landscape that inform feature prioritization, new product initiatives, and go-to-market strategies.

• Manage the complete SEO performance across QuillBot’s web properties. Drive strategy for on-page, off-page, and technical SEO to secure and maintain top positions for high-value keywords.

• Conduct technical audits and collaborate with Engineering to address crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals, site speed, structured data, and mobile-responsiveness issues at scale.

• Supervise keyword research, content gap analysis, and on-page optimization. Work with the Content team to ensure each page is strategically targeted and continuously enhanced.

• Direct link-building and digital PR strategies to enhance domain authority. Assess backlink quality and establish partnerships with authoritative sites.

• Track Google algorithm updates, analyze ranking fluctuations, and swiftly adapt strategies to safeguard and boost organic traffic.

• Develop and implement a strategy to enhance QuillBot’s visibility in AI-generated answers and citations across generative search platforms (e.g., Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, etc).

• Collaborate with Content and Product to structure information, schema markup, and authoritative content so generative engines accurately surface and recommend QuillBot.

• Define GEO-specific metrics, establish tracking frameworks, and conduct experiments to comprehend how generative surfaces drive traffic and conversions.

• Monitor competitor citations in generative answers and pinpoint opportunities to amplify QuillBot’s share of voice.

• Manage QuillBot’s organic discoverability and conversion rates in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

• Optimize app titles, subtitles, descriptions, keywords, screenshots, and preview videos to enhance search rankings and download conversion rates.

• Develop strategies to boost the volume and quality of positive ratings and reviews, and collaborate with Product to address recurring user feedback themes.

• Design and execute store listing experiments to continuously enhance conversion. Utilize tools like Google Play Experiments and third-party ASO platforms.

• Partner with the International Expansion team to localize and optimize listings for priority markets.

• Manage QuillBot’s presence and discoverability in the Chrome Web Store, Safari Extensions Gallery, Microsoft Edge Add-ons, and Firefox Add-ons.

• Optimize extension titles, descriptions, screenshots, and feature graphics. Improve install conversion rates through iterative testing.

• Drive rating volume and quality for extensions. Collaborate with Product and Support to address negative feedback and minimize churn.

• Align extension store strategy with SEO and ASO efforts to create a cohesive organic discovery experience across web, app, and extension platforms.

• Build and maintain dashboards that track organic performance across all channels (SEO, ASO, GEO, Extension Stores). Define KPIs and ensure the team makes data-driven decisions.

• Provide regular performance updates and strategic insights to senior leadership. Translate complex organic data into clear narratives with actionable recommendations.

• Evaluate and manage the organic growth tool stack (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Sensor Tower, Screaming Frog, etc).


⛳️ Requirements

• 8–10 years of progressive experience in SEO and/or organic growth, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role.

• Global experience: a proven ability to drive organic growth across various markets, regions, and languages, beyond just English-speaking audiences.

• Demonstrated success in managing organic growth for a high-traffic website (over 20 million monthly active users) and a consumer app with substantial installation volume.

• Proven history of securing and maintaining #1 rankings for competitive keywords.

• Established ability to build organic visibility from scratch for new product launches in highly competitive markets, taking a product from no search presence to top-ranking positions against established competitors.

• Extensive expertise in on-page, off-page, and technical SEO, with a solid understanding of how search engines crawl, index, and rank content.

• Practical experience with ASO for iOS and/or Android applications, including keyword optimization, listing experiments, and review management.

• Strong comprehension of the generative AI search landscape and emerging GEO best practices.

• Proficiency with industry-standard tools: Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and at least one ASO platform (preferably Sensor Tower).

• Experience working with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress) and familiarity with basic HTML/CSS.

• Excellent communication skills to present data-driven strategies to senior leadership, including C-level stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
