šŸ“‹ Description

• Organic Growth Strategy: Establish and take ownership of the comprehensive organic growth strategy that encompasses SEO, ASO, GEO, and Extension Store optimization. Set quarterly and annual OKRs linked to impressions, clicks, MAU, installs, and sales.

• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and cultivate the SEO & Organic Growth team. Promote a culture of experimentation, accountability, and ongoing learning. Identify and recruit for essential capability gaps as necessary.

• Roadmap Ownership: Develop and manage a prioritized organic growth roadmap. Balance immediate wins with long-term strategic initiatives. Present plans and updates to senior leadership, including the CEO.

• Cross-Functional Partnership: Act as the organic growth representative in cross-functional planning with AI, Product, Engineering, Content, Brand, Marketing Operations, and International Expansion teams. Ensure that organic considerations are integrated into product launches, site architecture decisions, and content strategy.

• Product Roadmap Influence: Serve as a key influencer of the Product roadmap by highlighting organic growth opportunities, user intent data, and insights from the search landscape that inform feature prioritization, new product initiatives, and go-to-market timing.

• SEO Program Ownership: Manage end-to-end SEO performance across QuillBot’s web properties. Drive strategy across on-page, off-page, and technical SEO to achieve and maintain top rankings for high-value keywords.

• Technical SEO: Lead technical audits and collaborate with Engineering to address crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals, site speed, structured data, and mobile responsiveness issues at scale.

• Content & Keyword Strategy: Oversee keyword research, content gap analysis, and on-page optimization. Work closely with the Content team to ensure every page is strategically targeted and continuously enhanced.

• Link Building & Authority: Direct link-building and digital PR strategies to enhance domain authority. Assess backlink quality and establish partnerships with authoritative sites.

• Algorithm Resilience: Monitor Google algorithm updates, analyze ranking fluctuations, and swiftly adjust strategies to safeguard and enhance organic traffic.

• GEO Strategy: Design and implement a strategy to amplify QuillBot’s visibility in AI-generated answers and citations across generative search experiences (e.g., Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, etc).

• ASO Program Ownership: Oversee QuillBot’s organic discoverability and conversion rates in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

• Extension Visibility: Manage QuillBot’s visibility and discoverability in the Chrome Web Store, Safari Extensions Gallery, Microsoft Edge Add-ons, and Firefox Add-ons.

• Performance Measurement: Create and maintain dashboards that track organic performance across all channels (SEO, ASO, GEO, Extension Stores). Define KPIs and ensure the team leverages data-driven decision-making.


ā›³ļø Requirements

• 8–10 years of progressive experience in SEO and/or organic growth, including a minimum of 3 years in a management role.

• Global experience: Proven ability to drive organic growth across various markets, regions, and languages—not confined to English-speaking audiences.

• Demonstrated success in managing organic growth for a high-traffic website (over 20M monthly active users) and a consumer app with substantial installation volume.

• A solid track record of securing and defending #1 positions for competitive keywords.

• Proven capability to build organic visibility from scratch for new product launches in highly competitive markets—taking a product from no search presence to top-ranking positions against established competitors.

• Extensive expertise in on-page, off-page, and technical SEO, with a comprehensive understanding of how search engines crawl, index, and rank content.

• Practical experience with ASO for iOS and/or Android apps, including keyword optimization, listing experiments, and review management.

• Strong comprehension of the generative AI search landscape and emerging GEO best practices.

• Proficient with industry tools: Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and at least one ASO platform (preferably Sensor Tower).

• Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress) and familiarity with basic HTML/CSS.

• Excellent communication skills to present data-driven strategies to senior leadership, including C-level stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
