Director of Operations – Germany

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• As the Operations Business Director for Germany, you will oversee the operational activities of the German market, which is the largest and most revenue-generating market for roadsurfer.

• You will ensure that stations, fleet, and repair & maintenance processes are stable, efficient, and scalable, reliably achieving operational targets related to costs, quality, availability, and customer satisfaction.

• You will manage the daily operations across all German locations, collaborating closely with central teams within a matrix organization, ensuring clear processes, consistent execution, and measurable performance.

• Responsible for central operational KPIs, including vehicle availability & downtime, repair & maintenance costs per vehicle, pickup & return productivity, and service & quality metrics (e.g., NPS/SQS).

• Accountable for the operational budgets of the German market, working closely with the Commercial and Pricing teams on top-line alignment.

• Lead and further develop the operational management structure (e.g., Regional Managers).

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of experience in a highly operational leadership role within a decentralized environment.

• Proven track record of responsibility for operational KPIs, budgets, and cost control.

• Experience in operations, fleet, or asset-related business models.

• Leadership experience across multiple locations.

• Strong numerical and analytical skills, with a pronounced data-driven decision-making ability.

• High implementation capability, clarity in actions, and a strong hands-on mentality.

• Excellent communication skills within a matrix organization.

• Willingness to travel regularly within Germany and to the headquarters in Munich/Frankfurt.
