Director of Operations, Data Science

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Connect business requirements with technical capabilities

• Oversee the execution of ongoing SOLE Science projects by the Data Science Team

• Create strategies for internal business optimization

• Manage the Agile development process of the Data Science team

• Act as the main point of contact for the SOLE Science team

• Collaborate with teams from Growth, Strategy, Enablement, XT, Finance, Agency Tech, and Products

• Identify and rank high-impact projects

• Convert business requirements into technical terminology

• Lead epic planning, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and sprint reviews

• Work together with opportunity owners and project leads to create data science solutions for chosen clients

• Conduct in-person sessions to gather requirements and communicate results for key clients

• Engage in in-person client workshops and business development presentations

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in developing business optimization strategies, including a background in product ownership

• Capability to act as the primary liaison to the SOLE Science team and foster cross-organizational discussions

• Experience in managing Agile development processes

• Ability to recognize and prioritize high-impact projects

• Skill in translating business needs into technical language

• Proven experience in leading epic planning, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and sprint reviews

• Background in supporting data science projects

• Proficiency in translating complex datasets and analytical concepts into understandable insights

• Familiarity with database concepts

• Expertise with project management tools like Jira

• Experience with Tableau, PowerBI, or other similar business intelligence platforms
