📋 Description

• In the capacity of the FSQA Director for National Accounts, this position is tasked with enhancing food safety and quality strategies for any National account within the Fresh Division.

• This role will primarily involve direct interaction with customers.

• Collaborating closely with the Account Manager and Executive team, the incumbent will gain a deep understanding of the key client strategies, challenges, gaps, and risks, serving as an advocate and consultant for Fresh Division clients regarding FSQA matters.

• The position will also address the daily food safety requirements of clients, including substitute supplier evaluations, management of food safety claims, specification tolerances, and more.

• Additionally, the role will aid clients in their ongoing quality enhancement and FSQA initiatives driven by their specific needs.

• The individual will work in close collaboration with the Senior Director of Food Safety and Compliance and will be responsible for leading and managing the Food Safety Project Manager.

• This role will coordinate with the FSQA Project Manager for National Accounts to ensure that all client projects and initiatives are properly monitored and commitments are fulfilled.

• Working alongside other teams within the Fresh Services Food Safety team, the role aims to optimize task and project management efficiency.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a food safety role, ideally within Produce, Meat, and/or Seafood sectors.

• At least 5 years of experience in either a processor or distributor facility, or within a National Foodservice organization (preferably one of our current clients).

• A Master’s degree in food science, safety, or a related field is preferred.

• Proven leadership skills and a strong business accountability record.

• Experience in the foodservice industry is highly advantageous, whether on the supplier, distributor, or client side.

• Proven project management abilities along with excellent personal productivity and communication skills, both oral and written.

• Ability to work effectively and positively with cross-functional teams.

• Exceptional communication skills are essential, including listening, writing, oral presentations, and proficiency in productivity tools such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
