This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
• Spearhead Materion’s strategic expansion within the semiconductor industry.
• Design market strategies and grow the served available market (SAM).
• Accelerate the development of new products and applications.
• Act as Materion’s external representative within the semiconductor ecosystem.
• Cultivate a deep understanding of semiconductor market trends and customer-specific requirements.
• Keep track of emerging technologies, competitive movements, and industry advancements.
• Maintain segment reporting, including definitions of TAM/SAM and analysis of wallet share.
• Convert customer feedback into actionable market intelligence in collaboration with Sales and Product Management.
• Represent Materion at industry events and associations, such as SEMI.
• Enhance Materion’s external visibility through press releases, digital content, and speaking opportunities.
• Provide executive-level insights on market conditions and strategic consequences.
• Identify, assess, and pursue strategic opportunities in electronic materials, deposition technologies, and new semiconductor applications.
• Collaborate with OEMs, research organizations, and technology partners to anticipate future needs and co-create solutions.
• Lead early-stage development initiatives, including customer engagement, business case formulation, and project management.
• Build and maintain multi-tier customer relationships.
• Transform customer and OEM specifications into viable products.
• Assist with early product validation, technical discussions, and application-specific testing.
• Provide senior-level technical guidance for product performance requirements, customer inquiries, and material customization.
• Facilitate cross-functional execution for product readiness, launch, and scaling.
• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or related disciplines is required.
• An advanced degree is preferred.
• Over 10 years of experience in semiconductor materials, thin-film deposition, advanced packaging, or related semiconductor technology sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects in strategy, business development, key account management, and new product introductions (NPI).
• Strong analytical, communication, and executive presentation capabilities.
• Proven experience in building multi-level customer relationships and formulating market-driven technology roadmaps.
• Must possess US person status.
