Director of Loan Closing – Fulfillment

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage all loan closing operations for both commercial and consumer loan teams across various states (SC, FL, GA, AL, NC, TN, TX, CO, VA), ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely preparation, review, and funding of all loan documents.

• Promote a culture of outstanding service to banking partners (Relationship Managers, Loan Officers, Loan Assistants), Branch Personnel, and customers throughout the loan closing process.

• Drive a strategic vision to enhance processes and increase automation in Loan Closing.

• Ensure that all loan closing activities comply fully with relevant federal and state regulations (TILA/Reg Z, HMDA, CRA, flood compliance, CFPB requirements) as well as internal bank policies.

• Recruit, mentor, and retain a high-performing team of around 100 professionals across diverse geographic locations.

• Create and oversee the operational budget and multi-year strategic plan for the Loan Closing department.

⛳️ Requirements

• Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Banking, or a related field.

• Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive experience in banking or financial services operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role within loan operations or loan closing.

• Proven experience in managing large teams that are geographically dispersed.

• Successful history of leading process improvements, technology implementations, or automation initiatives within banking operations.

• Extensive knowledge of commercial and consumer lending regulations, documentation requirements, and compliance frameworks (TILA, HMDA, CRA, flood, CFPB).

• Proficient in loan origination and closing systems, including nCino, Newgen, LaserPro, DocuSign, and DecisionPro.

• Familiarity with RPA tools (UiPath or equivalent), AI-assisted workflows, and concepts of process automation as they relate to Bank Operations.
