This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.
β’ Formulate and implement HR strategies that align with business goals; provide guidance to executives on organizational design, workforce planning, and risks associated with people management.
β’ Lead, mentor, and nurture the HR team while managing the HR budget.
β’ Act as the US liaison for Solvd's Global HR strategy.
β’ Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on federal, state, and local employment laws.
β’ Provide coaching to managers regarding performance challenges, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions; evaluate and sanction Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs), corrective measures, and terminations.
β’ Conduct or supervise confidential workplace investigations.
β’ Manage Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), leaves, and accommodations across more than 30 states; oversee workers' compensation claims and regulatory compliance reporting.
β’ Preserve confidential employee records; lead revisions of the employee handbook, policy updates, and compliance audits.
β’ Supervise HR reporting (headcount, turnover, compliance metrics) and drive process enhancements.
β’ Collaborate with leadership on workforce planning and headcount forecasting.
β’ Assist with full-cycle recruiting in partnership with the HR Generalist.
β’ Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, including conducting exit interviews and making necessary system access modifications.
β’ Oversee compensation philosophy, structure, and job architecture in collaboration with executive leadership.
β’ Direct benefits strategy and plan design; collaborate with brokers during the annual open enrollment process.
β’ Administer the 401(k) plan, ensuring compliance and managing the annual audit.
β’ Lead performance review cycles, goal-setting initiatives, and development programs.
β’ Propel succession planning, leadership development, and training programs.
β’ Cultivate an inclusive culture that reflects company values.
β’ Initiate engagement initiatives, recognition programs, events, surveys, and HR communications.
β’ Manage cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing the employee experience.
β’ Over 7 years of progressive HR experience, including leadership roles in organizational strategy, compensation/benefits, and employee relations.
β’ A Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred; SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR, or equivalent certifications are also preferred.
β’ Practical experience with multi-state leave and accommodation laws (ADA, FMLA, state leave legislation).
β’ Proven ability to conduct confidential investigations to resolution.
β’ Experience managing multi-state payroll and benefits administration.
β’ Demonstrated success in coaching managers through performance management processes, corrective actions, and terminations.
β’ Extensive knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
β’ Exceptional interpersonal skills, meticulous attention to detail, discretion with confidential information, and the ability to navigate ambiguity comfortably.
β’ Proficient in HR systems and digital collaboration tools; experience with BambooHR is a plus.
