This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nicaragua.
• Act as a strategic HR advisor to the firm's leadership; engage in leadership meetings and assist in making compliant employment decisions across a diverse, multi-country workforce.
• Guide, develop, and mentor the HR team; define clear responsibilities, escalation procedures, and service standards.
• Provide counsel on escalated employee relations issues, performance challenges, and sensitive workplace situations; mentor leaders through corrective actions, performance improvement plans (PIPs), and terminations.
• Propel the firm's cultural strategy by creating programs that enhance connections among in-house and remote teams, fostering engagement and retention.
• Design and continually enhance comprehensive training and development initiatives for the firm, including onboarding, compliance, leadership development, and management training.
• Manage benefits programs, open enrollment, compensation philosophy, and total rewards strategies across various countries.
• Maintain the company handbook, HR policies, and employee-facing documentation; identify risk areas and propose scalable improvements.
• Collaborate with hiring managers on select strategic hires and assist in workforce planning and employer branding efforts.
• Establish internal communication standards, including newsletters, bulletins, and video channels.
• Oversee monthly salary reviews and manage bonus plans, salary administration, and historical data reporting.
• Evaluate workforce productivity metrics such as turnover and absenteeism to identify trends and formulate solutions.
• Proven experience leading HR in a workforce comprised of both in-house and remote team members, preferably across multiple locations or countries.
• Extensive experience in senior Talent & Culture leadership positions.
• Strong expertise in employee relations, performance management, and handling sensitive issues with confidentiality.
• Demonstrated strategic thinking, initiative, and decision-making skills.
• Proven ability to enhance associate engagement and cultivate a culture of inclusivity.
• Demonstrated experience in designing training and development programs at an organizational level.
• Established experience in building or enhancing HR infrastructure—policies, handbooks, operating models, HR systems, and team structures.
• Experience in leading HR team members and managing benefits, compensation, and total rewards.
• Excellent judgment, emotional intelligence, and discretion.
• Strong English communication skills (C1 level or higher), both verbal and written.
• U.S. HR experience is preferred but not mandatory; candidates lacking this experience must be eager to learn U.S. employment laws and multi-state compliance.
