Director of Healthcare Economics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate claims and EMR data to assess the clinical and financial implications of ProgenyHealth programs, encompassing costs, utilization, and outcomes.

• Create and articulate compelling ROI narratives for current and potential clients.

• Collaborate with clinical, client success, and growth teams to pinpoint program successes and areas requiring enhancement.

• Convert ambiguous business inquiries into structured analyses and actionable insights.

• Develop and standardize analytical methodologies, reporting, and data processes from inception.

• Act as a subject matter expert on healthcare cost determinants, reimbursement methodologies, and Medicaid populations.

• Present findings to internal leadership and external stakeholders, including clients and potential clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience working with healthcare claims data to evaluate cost, utilization, and financial performance in a payer or managed care setting.

• Proficient SQL (or similar) skills with a proven record of independently accessing, manipulating, and analyzing large datasets.

• Experience in analyzing healthcare and utilization data to identify root causes of variations in spending/costs; familiarity with Medicaid populations is preferred.

• Background in Medicaid populations and reimbursement structures; knowledge of Commercial populations is an advantage.

• Proven ability to translate medical and clinical data into clear, actionable business insights.

• Experience in developing analytical frameworks or financial models that facilitate business decision-making.

• Previous experience in managing analysts is preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree (MBA, MPH, MS) in a related field is preferred.
