Director of FP&A – Maternity Cover

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and cultivate a team of four FP&A professionals.

• Establish the strategic priorities and agenda for the FP&A function.

• Manage team.blue’s overall performance narrative for the CFO, Executive Committee, Board, and shareholders/lenders.

• Ensure accurate, consistent, and insightful monthly and periodic reporting across various brands and entities.

• Present and clarify complex, multi-entity results for Boards, shareholders, and lenders.

• Oversee the annual budgeting process along with the multi-year strategic and long-range plan.

• Manage the rolling forecast and latest estimate process.

• Ensure coherent target-setting and the cascading of financial and commercial objectives.

• Serve as a financial steering partner to the CFO and Executive Committee.

• Develop and enhance the central business control framework.

• Manage the performance measurement framework, including KPIs, scorecards, and OKRs.

• Direct the roadmap for reporting and planning systems and tools.

• Drive automation initiatives and represent FP&A in finance transformation projects.

• Collaborate with executive leaders, Board members, shareholders/lenders, divisional CFOs, Group Finance, shared services, and external advisors.

⛳️ Requirements

• 12+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, financial reporting/planning, or corporate finance.

• Several years of experience leading teams at the Head/Director level.

• Proven track record of managing a full FP&A function in a complex, multi-entity or multi-brand organization.

• Direct experience presenting to and guiding discussions with Boards, shareholders, and/or lenders.

• Experience in a private-equity-backed, subscription, SaaS, hosting, or technology business is a significant advantage.

• Demonstrated success in building, leading, and developing a high-performing finance team of five or more.

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

• Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA, or MBA are preferred.

• Strong expertise in financial modeling, reporting, and business control.

• Proficiency with planning platforms such as Anaplan or Adaptive Insights, or similar tools.

• Familiarity with BI tools like Power BI or Tableau.

• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills at CFO/ExCo/Board/lender levels.

• Strategic and commercially minded approach to complex, multi-entity data.

• Strong leadership abilities and experience in developing future leaders.
