This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee all elements of bottoms-up modeling and forecasting related to Product Revenue and Margin for the annual budget, re-forecasts, rolling projections, and ad-hoc strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with business leadership to manage the financial aspects of new initiative launches, including opportunity sizing, scenario and sensitivity analysis, and strategic reviews through go-to-market strategy and the establishment and monitoring of success criteria.
• Deliver comprehensive and insightful monthly financial reports and variance analyses (actuals vs. forecast) with commentary on key drivers for the Board, Executives, and business partners.
• Take ownership of and track relevant customer and merchandising KPIs, such as order frequency, average order value (AOV), basket composition, pricing competitiveness and inflation, product gross margin, and contribution margin.
• Lead promotional analysis to assess the effectiveness and margin impact of promotions, shaping future promotional strategies and expenditures.
• Directly influence revenue and margin by identifying opportunities and making strategic recommendations regarding pricing (including regional and key-value-item strategies), catalog mix and expansion, partnerships, and member shopping experiences.
• Evaluate new product-launch proposals and catalog expansions to ensure alignment of business cases and financial impacts with category, portfolio, and corporate objectives, measuring true incremental impact net of cannibalization.
• Own Product Contribution Margin at the portfolio level and continue to refine methodology for estimating SKU and order-level contribution margins.
• Collaborate closely with the Data Analytics team, taking initiative where required, designing reporting and dashboard outputs, and providing guidance on metric definitions, user acceptance testing, and data quality to ensure reporting supports sound decision-making.
• Regularly assess existing reporting and forecasting processes, identifying opportunities to streamline, standardize, and automate wherever feasible to enhance accuracy, timeliness, and scalability.
• Build and mentor a team that is respected and recognized as thought partners at all levels throughout the organization.
• A minimum of 9 years of progressive financial analysis experience in high-growth environments, preferably with direct experience in FP&A and/or revenue forecasting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; an MBA is advantageous.
• A background in FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking, management consulting, or a similar field is strongly preferred.
• Previous experience with a subscription/membership and/or e-commerce business model is preferred.
• Advanced expertise in Excel; proficient in developing efficient, clean, complex, and dynamic financial models.
• Strong data fluency: comfortable with SQL (Snowflake or equivalent) to self-serve against large, SKU-level datasets, and sufficient command of the data model to advise on report definitions and user acceptance testing; experience with product-analytics/experimentation platforms (e.g., Amplitude), BI tools, and AI-assisted analysis is a plus.
• Proven ability to forge strong cross-functional partnerships, with outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Highly analytical with meticulous attention to detail and a strong comfort level with processing and analyzing large, detailed, SKU-level datasets.
• Demonstrated capability to lead and develop a team, with a minimum of 2 years of direct managerial experience.
