Director of Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the monthly closing process in Rillet, which includes accounts payable/accounts receivable, reconciliations, and consolidated financial reporting.

• Manage budget tracking and reconciliation for approximately 500 annual events.

• Supervise membership revenue recognition and maintain the financial cycles of a subscription-based model.

• Collaborate on payroll and headcount cost tracking alongside our PEO and Head of People.

• Lead expense management and ensure adherence to policies through Ramp.

• Prepare month-end and year-end reporting packages for the founders.

• Take charge of financial planning and analysis, including annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, scenario modeling, and cash flow management.

• Act as a strategic advisor to the founders regarding capital allocation, pricing strategies, and growth investments.

• Create and sustain financial models that provide leadership with clear insights into unit economics, margins, and runway.

• Proactively identify and highlight financial risks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of progressive experience in finance; CPA certification is preferred.

• Proven experience in a senior finance position at a high-growth startup.

• Genuine passion for AI tools.

• Strong skills in financial modeling and financial planning & analysis.

• Familiarity with our technology stack: Ramp, Rillet, Justworks.

• Excellent communicator capable of simplifying complex financial concepts.

• Comfortable working in an environment with ambiguity and high event volumes.

• Self-motivated and proficient in asynchronous communication.
