Director of Field Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct audits and remediate current ServiceTitan configurations across all OpCo instances — identify gaps, inconsistencies, and potential revenue loss in the existing setup.

• Create and document the Columbia ST standard: including job types, price books, dispatch boards, membership structures, reporting taxonomies, and integration logic.

• Take ownership of the ST onboarding playbook for acquired companies — overseeing data migration from day one through to full integration into the platform standard.

• Supervise 2 direct reports and a network of ST contractors; establish their priorities, ensure quality assurance of their work, and hold them accountable to deadlines.

• Collaborate with GMs and field operators across OpCos to enhance adoption — including managing change in markets where operators have maintained their own practices for over 20 years.

• Develop the reporting infrastructure that provides leadership with real-time insights into booking rates, technician productivity, revenue per truck, and membership penetration.

• Assess and manage integrations across the technology stack — encompassing phone systems, marketing attribution, financing, and business intelligence tools.

• Lead the gradual consolidation from separate ST instances into a unified platform architecture as the business expands.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of hands-on experience in ServiceTitan configuration and administration — capable of building a price book, restructuring a dispatch board, and designing a membership program from the ground up.

• Experience in home services (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or related trades) — possessing a clear understanding of how a service call progresses from booking to invoicing.

• Proven experience in managing or coordinating a team, which may include external contractors or vendors.

• Ability to drive adoption among field operators who may be resistant to change — skilled in bringing GMs on board rather than merely enforcing configuration updates.

• Comfortable working in a private equity-backed, fast-paced environment where priorities can shift and deadlines are crucial.
