Director – Consumer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver market insights regarding bolt-on targets, the competitive landscape, and valuation context within your subsector.

• Facilitate introductions to founders, family owners, and senior executives within your established network.

• Analyze confidential information memoranda and management presentations for sector-specific operational compatibility and risks.

• Engage in private equity sponsor pitches when your subsector expertise and operational background are pertinent.

• Offer operational due diligence perspectives on potential target companies.

• Counsel the Fireclay team on positioning and messaging for sponsor outreach and sourcing initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience as a VP, SVP, President, or CEO at a consumer brand, multi-unit operator, or private equity-backed consumer platform.

• At least fifteen years in consumer operations with hands-on experience in brand development, retail or restaurant unit economics, or direct-to-consumer growth.

• Proficient understanding of the operational dynamics within your subsector, covering aspects from supply chain to channel mix to customer retention.

• Established network of connections with founders, family owners, senior executives, and private equity professionals within your subsector.

• Ability to represent Fireclay professionally to private equity sponsors and target company management.

• Exercising discretion when managing non-public information and competitive intelligence.

• Openness to work on a flexible per-engagement basis without fixed hours or obligations.
