Director of Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and technicians focused on civil land development.

• Foster an environment that promotes professional growth, innovation, and team achievement.

• Establish and execute engineering objectives and strategic initiatives in alignment with company goals.

• Manage engineering projects from initial concept to construction, ensuring quality, adherence to timelines, and budget compliance.

• Define the technical direction for project designs, plans, and deliverables.

• Conduct thorough technical reviews and ensure that engineering standards and best practices are upheld.

• Collaborate with various internal departments to facilitate integrated project delivery.

• Act as the engineering representative in discussions with clients, municipal officials, and partners.

• Communicate project updates, risks, and proposed solutions effectively to stakeholders at all levels.

• Ensure that all engineering tasks comply with local, state, and federal regulations.

• Cultivate a robust culture of safety, ethics, and accountability within the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required; a Master's degree is preferred.

• A PE (Professional Engineer) license is mandatory.

• Over 8 years of experience in civil engineering, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership position.

• Proficiency in Civil 3D and other relevant design software.

• Strong knowledge of land development processes, including site grading, stormwater management, and utility design.

• Demonstrated experience in managing project teams, budgets, and schedules.

• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

• A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to project sites as required.

• Physical capability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. and conduct field visits as necessary.
