📋 Description

• Overseeing and expanding a team of data scientists dedicated to modeling critical business challenges.

• Providing mentorship and support to team members as they develop quantitative models in Python utilizing industry-standard methodologies.

• Promoting the capabilities of the data science team and collaborating with product, engineering, and operations teams to create a roadmap and backlog of impactful data science solutions.

• Conducting quarterly planning sessions with business stakeholders to ensure the team is aligned with organizational goals.

• Assisting in the team’s transition to AI-assisted development and agentic workflows, which includes identifying practical use cases, establishing working norms, and ensuring that these tools are employed with appropriate review, validation, privacy, and quality standards.

• Collaborating closely with our Modeling Engineer to enhance and optimize our infrastructure for model research, development, and deployment.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience managing a Data Science team of more than 3 members.

• Over 5 years of overall experience in modeling/data science.

• At least 2 years of experience in a consumer product company.

• In-depth technical proficiency in SQL and Python, along with experience in analytics and machine learning tools (e.g., dbt, Airflow, Spark, MLflow, etc.).

• Experience in applying predictive modeling for credit risk assessment, churn prediction, and loss and revenue forecasting is a plus.

• A Master’s or PhD in a quantitative discipline (such as Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or Applied Mathematics) is highly preferred.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analyses into actionable insights for commercial and executive stakeholders.

• A strong commitment to nurturing talent and fostering a high-impact culture based on accountability, data-driven decisions, and business outcomes.

• Practical experience with modern AI-assisted coding and agentic tools like Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, OpenAI Codex, or similar, along with a clear perspective on how these tools can enhance data science productivity, quality, and business impact.
