This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with the Executive Director, Chief Advocacy Officer, Director of Policy Campaigns & Government Affairs, and Director of Communications & Marketing to develop and implement the corporate campaign strategy for the organization.
• Oversee the corporate campaigns team, providing guidance and support to staff to ensure projects remain on track and meet established objectives.
• Strengthen and broaden partnerships with organizations addressing the intersections of criminal and economic injustice at international, national, state, and local levels.
• Advocate to key stakeholders, including board members, executives, investors, regulators, and others, to influence their decision-making towards recommended actions.
• Create and execute strategies to build community engagement with those directly affected by incarceration, amplifying their voices and prioritizing their leadership, insights, and narratives.
• Serve as an organizational representative to communities, coalitions, partners, decision-makers, and the media through interviews, hearings, rallies, conferences, and opinion pieces, effectively conveying the organization’s mission and goals.
• Collaborate closely with the popular education and communications teams.
• Monitor and evaluate the progress and requirements of corporate campaigns, managing both internal and external resources effectively.
• A minimum of five years of experience in developing, managing, and successfully executing corporate campaigns.
• A foundational knowledge of corporate finance and capital markets, encompassing corporate credit ratings, debt structures, private equity, mergers and acquisitions, bankruptcy and restructurings, as well as passive and active investments.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with professional experience crafting materials for diverse audiences, including fact sheets, demand letters, petitions, and opinion pieces.
• Strong connections within the divestment and economic justice movements, along with a proven ability to establish trusted working relationships with staff, partners, and community members.
• Capacity to engage in and resolve conflicts constructively when necessary.
• A working knowledge of the prison industry and corporate finance, along with a demonstrated commitment to furthering this understanding.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
