Director of Communications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop a comprehensive internal and external communications strategy to facilitate Wing's growth into intricate metropolitan areas.

• Make drone delivery a standard for consumers, influencing future behaviors while maintaining the innovative nature of our service.

• Propel B2B and B2C communications to ensure that restaurant and retail partners view Wing as a current, viable delivery option worthy of inclusion in their strategic plans.

• Collaborate with the Government Affairs and Public Policy teams to engage with federal aviation authorities, policymakers, and local governments to navigate complicated regulatory challenges and community issues related to noise, privacy, and airspace safety.

• Manage comprehensive executive communications, thought leadership, internal communications, and crisis communication strategies.

• Transform highly complex autonomous technology into engaging and authentic narratives that resonate with consumers, partners, policymakers, tech media, and employees.

• Create, mentor, and lead a high-performing communications team, promoting a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence across internal, external, policy, and product domains.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 20 years of expertise in strategic communications, public relations, or corporate affairs, preferably in large-scale consumer brands.

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Policy, Business, or relevant practical experience.

• Proven experience in managing reputational risk and crafting corporate narratives for companies experiencing rapid commercial growth or regulatory scrutiny.

• Established history of leading multifaceted communications teams across internal, external, product, and policy areas.

• Exceptional executive presence with experience advising C-suite executives on thought leadership and crisis management.
