This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Develop and implement the organization's roadmap for cloud software engineering.
• Set up engineering best practices, coding standards, code reviews, and development methodologies.
• Foster innovation and modernization initiatives for cloud-native applications.
• Collaborate with executive leadership, business leads, product owners, and IT business analysts to ensure alignment of technology initiatives and convert requirements into technical solutions.
• Create and sustain a high-performance engineering culture.
• Assist with computer system validation and assurance activities alongside IT CSV and IT business analysts.
• Lead, mentor, recruit, develop, and retain various engineering teams and talent.
• Conduct performance assessments, career development planning, and succession planning.
• Oversee resource allocation, budgeting, vendor relationships, project prioritization, and resourcing with ACM PMO.
• Supervise the architecture, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of scalable cloud applications and platforms.
• Guide the adoption of microservices, containerization, serverless computing, and API-driven architecture.
• Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, scalability, security, compliance, governance, and operational excellence.
• Spearhead modernization of legacy systems and migration to cloud environments.
• Drive CI/CD and automate cloud deployment processes.
• Provide technical leadership across public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, DevOps, QA, Data Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, IT Security, and IT CSV teams.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies and recommend strategic adoption.
• Establish metrics and KPIs for engineering productivity, reliability, and operational excellence.
• Relay technical strategies and project updates to executive stakeholders and non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10 years of experience in cloud software engineering.
• At least 4 years in leadership roles for cloud software development and related teams.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Proven experience in staff development and engagement.
• Significant experience in designing and building cloud-native applications.
• Proficient in React, Node.js, Java, Python, Azure Development Toolkit, GitHub, PostgreSQL, and MS SQL Server.
• Practical expertise with Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS) development tools.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture, Kubernetes and container orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, RESTful APIs, distributed systems, and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong grasp of cloud security, compliance, and governance frameworks.
• Experience leading Agile/Scrum software development teams.
• Possession of Microsoft Azure or AWS certifications as outlined in the preferred qualifications.
• Base salary range of $165,000.00 - $195,000.00.
• Potential for additional pay components.
