Director of Claims

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of claims adjusters responsible for Master Policy TLL and Contents Claims.

• Cultivate a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

• Oversee the adjustment, processing, and resolution of intricate claims.

• Ensure that all claims are managed in compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.

• Review and authorize claims decisions and settlements.

• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of claims regulations, including notices, payments, and processing.

• Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations and guidelines.

• Stay informed about regulatory changes and implement necessary modifications to procedures.

• Address complex claim disputes and escalate issues when necessary.

• Manage DOI complaints, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.

• Represent the company in depositions and other legal proceedings as required.

• Develop and execute strategies to enhance departmental efficiency and effectiveness.

• Build and sustain strong relationships with external partners and stakeholders.

• Analyze and report on claims trends, performance metrics, and areas for improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field.

• A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in claims adjustment, including at least 3-5 years in a managerial position.

• Relevant experience may substitute for educational requirements.

• Proven experience in managing a team of claims adjusters.

• Strong understanding of claims regulations, notices, payments, and processing.

• Demonstrated success in managing claim disputes, DOI complaints, and legal depositions.
