This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Create and implement strategic business development initiatives tailored to the Food & Beverage manufacturing sector.
• Identify, assess, and pursue fresh capital equipment opportunities associated with process water, wastewater treatment, water reuse, filtration, disinfection, and utility optimization systems.
• Cultivate and sustain executive-level relationships with plant managers, engineering directors, operations leaders, corporate sustainability teams, and procurement experts.
• Forge partnerships with engineering consultants, design-build firms, OEMs, and system integrators to broaden project opportunities.
• Lead consultative sales efforts by comprehending customer production processes, water quality challenges, environmental compliance needs, and operational objectives.
• Oversee the entire sales cycle, encompassing prospecting, solution development, proposal preparation, contract negotiations, and project closure.
• Collaborate with engineering, applications, operations, and project management teams to provide tailored technical solutions.
• Keep track of industry trends, capital investment strategies, sustainability initiatives, and regulatory changes impacting water management in the Food & Beverage manufacturing sector.
• Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, customer events, and professional associations.
• Maintain precise sales forecasts, opportunity pipelines, and CRM updates.
• Mentor regional sales managers and business development professionals while fostering a high-performance sales environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
• Over 10 years of successful business development, technical sales, or account management experience in water treatment, process equipment, or related industrial sectors.
• Demonstrated success in selling capital equipment, engineered systems, or process technologies to industrial manufacturing and/or municipal clients.
• Solid understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes, including filtration, membrane systems, chemical treatment, utility operations, and water reuse applications.
• Experience in developing and managing intricate sales opportunities involving multiple stakeholders and prolonged sales cycles.
• Proven ability to build relationships with executive, technical, and operational decision-makers.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and strategic account planning abilities.
• Highly organized, self-driven, and results-focused.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word).
