📋 Description

• This role is focused on true business development—not on account management or marketing support.

• We seek a closer who can build a pipeline from the ground up, managing the entire sales cycle from initial contact to signed agreement, utilizing all effective channels: cold outreach, warm networking, email campaigns, LinkedIn, direct mail, industry conferences, and referral partnerships.

• You will be responsible for achieving the revenue target.

• You will work closely with the marketing team to ensure messaging and campaigns are aligned, but your primary goal will be to generate and finalize new business—your earnings will increase with your successes.

• Our tiered commission structure is designed to reward high performance without any cap.

• Develop and maintain a target account list that focuses on priority industries such as cannabis, construction, healthcare, SaaS, ecommerce, and emerging sectors.

• Represent Northstar at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events, converting discussions into a qualified pipeline.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years in business development or sales, with a proven record of generating and closing new business (not managing existing accounts).

• Experience in selling professional services, financial services, or B2B advisory solutions.

• Demonstrated ability to create a pipeline from scratch through outbound prospecting, networking, and relationship building.

• Proficiency with CRM platforms and contemporary sales technology (including email automation, prospecting tools, and campaign analytics).

• Comfortable and effective in settings such as conferences, trade shows, industry mixers, and client meetings.

• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; a self-starter with a sense of urgency and accountability.

• Strongly Preferred: A background in accounting, finance, or tax; someone capable of discussing fractional CFO services, controllership, tax liability, audit preparation, and bookkeeping with real expertise.

• Experience or familiarity with regulated industries such as cannabis, construction, and healthcare.
