πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Define and enhance Calendly's integrated brand amplification strategy, establishing a vision for the next 1–3 years on how we present ourselves across social, PR, and advocacy channels to increase awareness, share of voice, and brand affinity. Convert company and product priorities into coordinated programs that make Calendly's narrative unavoidable.

β€’ Lead and nurture your team β€” including a Social Media Lead, Customer Advocacy Lead, and PR Contractor β€” by setting clear objectives, offering coaching, and fostering an environment where each member can excel. Hold the team accountable for results while eliminating obstacles and advocating for the necessary resources to execute plans.

β€’ Oversee the strategy and implementation of Calendly's social media efforts, collaborating with the Social Media Lead to create platform strategies, content pillars, editorial calendars, and channel-specific playbooks that enhance reach and promote meaningful engagement. Ensure that social content aligns with the brand, prioritizes the audience, and connects to the overarching marketing narrative.

β€’ Provide guidance and strategic direction to our PR contractor, assisting in shaping Calendly's narrative, prioritizing media opportunities, and ensuring that PR initiatives are closely aligned with broader brand and business objectives. Act as the internal representative of the brand in all communication decisions, translating company priorities into clear storytelling angles and messaging frameworks for the PR contractor to implement.

β€’ Build and scale customer advocacy programs that identify, activate, and nurture brand champions β€” transforming customer success into reviews, testimonials, case studies, speaking opportunities, and community engagement that amplify Calendly's story on a larger scale. Design systems and incentive structures that facilitate easy and sustainable participation.

β€’ Collaborate with Internal Communications, Employee Experience, and the Social Media Lead to empower employees as authentic brand advocates on social and professional networks. Provide strategic direction, content toolkits, and brand guidance that enables employees to share Calendly's story genuinely and impactfully.

β€’ Work cross-functionally with creative, product marketing, demand generation, and executive communications teams to craft compelling content and campaigns that support all brand and advocacy channels. Ensure high creative quality, message consistency, and strong alignment between brand initiatives and business goals.

β€’ Establish KPIs and a reporting schedule to evaluate the impact of brand, PR, and advocacy programs β€” monitoring reach, share of voice, engagement, and pipeline influence. Utilize data and insights to continuously refine strategy and communicate program effectiveness to senior leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

β€’ 15+ years of progressive experience in brand, communications, or marketing roles, including at least 3 years in a director-level or equivalent senior leadership position managing cross-functional teams.

β€’ Proven track record in developing and scaling integrated brand amplification strategies across social media and customer advocacy channels, with the capability to set strategic direction for PR and communications initiatives carried out by agency or contractor partners.

β€’ Demonstrated experience in leading and cultivating direct reports and contractor/agency relationships, with a strong history of building high-performing, accountable teams.

β€’ Extensive expertise in B2B social media strategy and content creation, including best practices across LinkedIn, X (Twitter), and other relevant channels for a SaaS audience.

β€’ Comfort in working with and providing strategic guidance to PR contractors or agency partners β€” capable of setting messaging direction, prioritizing story opportunities, and assessing PR output without needing to be directly involved in media relations.

β€’ Experience in building or scaling customer advocacy, reference, or community programs β€” encompassing reviews, testimonials, brand ambassadors, and customer marketing initiatives.

β€’ Data-driven approach with the ability to establish KPIs, evaluate program effectiveness across channels, and translate insights into strategic decisions.
