This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bangladesh.
• Assisting Teach For All network partner organizations in the Asia Pacific with their alumni strategies by providing high-quality coaching and consulting, promoting peer learning, and creating resources and training to enhance their organizational work and impact with alumni.
• Leading Teach For All’s initiative to strengthen alumni leadership and connectivity in the Asia Pacific by developing new programs that directly enhance alumni leadership, encourage connectivity and peer learning, and support their growth as leaders through mutual learning and assistance toward greater impact.
• Being a member of Teach For All’s Global Alumni Leadership Team, collaborating with counterparts in different regions to disseminate learning and innovation across areas.
• Working alongside Teach For All’s Asia Pacific regional team and Functional Area specialists to assess and continually reassess the needs and strengths of partners to provide the most suitable support strategies and to capture and share innovations and insights.
• Building strong, trust-based relationships with Heads of Program and Heads of Alumni in Asia Pacific, engaging regularly to comprehend their unique challenges, successes, and growth areas.
• Partnering closely with specialists within and outside of Teach For All to stay updated on the latest network knowledge and insights related to developing collective leadership through the recruitment, selection, placement, and training of leaders, while contributing fresh insights as they arise and creating shared learning experiences.
• Managing alumni data and sharing insights (based on your assessment of partners’ needs and priorities) through various channels, including facilitating learning experiences, workshops, newsletters, and online platforms, to promote learning and engagement among Heads of Alumni and Heads of Program.
• Overseeing a robust learning community among Heads of Alumni in Asia Pacific that encourages peer learning, information sharing, and collaboration, thereby accelerating their local initiatives.
• Offering tailored coaching and consulting to Heads of Alumni and other Senior Leaders, utilizing your expertise to tackle specific challenges and improve the effectiveness of their alumni impact strategies.
• Influencing Chief Program Officers and network partner CEOs, in close collaboration with the regional team, to generate support for alumni initiatives beyond the Head of Alumni role, and working with others to deliver high-quality cross-functional support and learning among numerous senior stakeholders to ensure alumni strategy and support remain a priority for network partners in the region.
• Actively cultivating strong, credible relationships with alumni leaders to grasp their unique challenges, successes, and growth areas. You will serve as the Teach For All “point person” for alumni to address their requests and ideas, and be the ‘go-to’ resource for Teach For All staff with inquiries about alumni in the region.
• Collaborating with the Asia Pacific regional team, network CEOs, and Heads of Alumni to design and implement programs to enhance alumni leadership and connectivity at the regional level.
• Coordinating small groups of alumni volunteers to harness their energy and skills toward achieving our goals.
• Managing a lively online community of alumni on WhatsApp to promote their connectivity, learning, and to share leadership development opportunities.
• Overseeing applications from the Asia Pacific region to Teach For All’s Communities & Connections Fund to facilitate regional virtual and in-person learning exchanges organized by alumni.
• Documenting and sharing narratives of alumni leadership and impact to inspire and motivate others while showcasing progress within the region.
• Previous experience and a strong record of impact as an alumni and/or senior leader within the Teach For All network in the Asia Pacific region.
• Over 8 years of relevant work experience with a credible background in leadership, leadership development, systems change, and/or network building.
• A passion for and experience in enhancing the leadership capabilities of others through training and coaching.
• Exceptional communication skills, able to distill complex concepts and data into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences.
• Proven ability to forge strong, credible relationships with multiple stakeholders to understand their objectives and motivations to facilitate collaboration while working virtually and remotely.
• Outstanding strategic thinking skills with a proven history of diagnosing and resolving complex issues, exercising sound judgment and navigating ambiguity.
• Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly with colleagues around the globe, including extensive virtual engagement (i.e., conference calls, virtual collaboration tools).
• Excellent project management skills; a self-starter capable of managing multiple work streams, using strong judgment to independently determine actions and prioritize tasks, and working effectively in a dynamic, globally distributed team environment.
• Experience in designing and executing impactful remote and in-person learning experiences (events, workshops, etc.).
• Strong commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and equity, with heightened self-awareness, cross-cultural competence, and humility, and the ability to adapt approaches and communication styles as needed.
• Ability to influence and motivate others beyond direct team relationships.
• Must possess fluency in English.
• Previous experience as a coach or consultant or in launching/leading your own venture.
• Experience in managing virtual peer learning communities and building strong peer networks.
• Experience in managing and mobilizing volunteers.
