Director of AI Governance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and oversee the AI Governance program and strategies at DeepHealth.

• Advocate for the safe, legal, and ethical application of AI throughout the organization.

• Create and execute AI Governance strategies that align with the organization's objectives and ethical standards.

• Establish, implement, and sustain an AI Governance framework in accordance with NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001, and the EU AI Act.

• Formulate and uphold policies, guidelines, and documentation that promote responsible AI development and deployment.

• Incorporate AI governance into compliance and risk management procedures in collaboration with cross-functional partners.

• Offer expert guidance to internal teams and, when necessary, clients regarding AI governance and compliance.

• Assess vendor adherence to legal, ethical, and security standards linked to AI tools and features.

• Supervise AI risk assessments and manage AI inventories and catalogs.

• Review contracts and draft provisions pertaining to AI and emerging technologies alongside the Legal team.

• Design and conduct training sessions on AI governance.

• Collaborate on compliance audits and provide mentorship to team members as the function evolves.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in AI, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related field, or an equivalent practical experience (required).

• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in AI compliance, AI governance, or similar compliance/risk roles in healthcare, medical technology, or other highly regulated industries (required).

• Demonstrated experience in developing and executing AI compliance or governance strategies (required).

• Proficient understanding of NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001, and the EU AI Act (required).

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey complex concepts to varied audiences (required).

• A high degree of integrity and confidentiality (required).

• Must adhere to relevant employment, data privacy, compliance, safety, and confidentiality laws and standards.

• Preferred: A Master’s degree or advanced certifications such as AAISM, CISSP, or CISM, as well as completed coursework in AI governance.
