Director of AI Governance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and oversee the AI Governance program and strategies at DeepHealth.

• Advocate for the safe, legal, and ethical utilization of AI throughout the organization.

• Formulate and execute AI Governance strategies that align with organizational objectives and ethical principles.

• Create, implement, and sustain an AI Governance framework that adheres to NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001, and the EU AI Act.

• Develop and manage policies, guidelines, and documentation for the responsible development and deployment of AI.

• Embed AI governance within compliance and risk management processes in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

• Provide guidance to internal teams and clients regarding AI governance and compliance issues.

• Assess vendor compliance with legal, ethical, and security standards pertaining to AI tools and features.

• Supervise AI risk assessments and maintain inventories and catalogues of AI assets.

• Review contracts and draft language related to AI and new technologies in collaboration with the Legal team.

• Create and deliver training on AI governance.

• Collaborate on audits to ensure compliance with AI frameworks and legislation.

• Mentor team members as the function expands.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in AI, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience (mandatory).

• Between 5 to 10 years of progressively responsible experience in AI compliance, AI governance, or closely related compliance/risk roles in healthcare, medical technology, or similarly regulated industries (mandatory).

• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing AI compliance or governance strategies (mandatory).

• Familiarity with NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001, and the EU AI Act (mandatory).

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences (mandatory).

• A high level of integrity and confidentiality (mandatory).

• Preferred: A Master's degree or advanced certifications, such as AAISM, CISSP, or CISM, along with completed coursework in AI governance.

• Adherence to all local, regional, and national employment laws.

• Compliance with DeepHealth policies and procedures.

• Commitment to data privacy, compliance, safety, and confidentiality standards.

• Practice of universal safety precautions.

• Consistent attendance and punctuality as per DeepHealth guidelines.
