Director of AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee Ludia's internal AI strategy, roadmap, policies, governance, platform registry, and AI budget.

• Head the Ludia Labs AI engineering team and manage all Customer AI Implementation projects.

• Report directly to the Chief Operations Officer; engage with the CEO on a monthly basis and the AI Steering Committee quarterly.

• Develop, review, and deploy AI agents, copilots, accelerators, and customer AI solutions into production.

• Establish AI architecture, development standards, prompt and grounding methodologies, evaluation, testing, security, and definitions of completion.

• Create shared SDKs, templates, reusable components, RAG pipelines using Azure AI Search, evaluation harnesses, CI/CD, and observability through Azure DevOps or GitHub.

• Manage AI production foundations, including telemetry, monitoring, ALM, human-in-the-loop controls, and responsible-AI guardrails.

• Select development platforms and make build-vs-buy decisions regarding Copilot Studio, Microsoft Foundry, and Microsoft Agent Framework.

• Identify, prioritize, pilot, measure, scale, or discontinue automation opportunities across Operations, Delivery, Sales, Marketing, and Talent.

• Create, version, document, support, and deploy Ludia Labs accelerators for client projects.

• Lead AI security protocols, incident management, access controls, data residency, audit trails, prompt-injection defense, and content safety measures.

• Promote AI literacy through training sessions, office hours, hands-on workshops, demonstrations, and mentoring.

• Act as the primary contact for AI products and customers, manage escalations, resolve issues, and relay customer feedback.

• Maintain 50% billable utilization and identify opportunities for account expansion in collaboration with Sales.

• Represent Ludia in executive briefings, steering committees, and quarterly business reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in AI, data, or solution architecture roles, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership position within an AI team, practice, or capability.

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Proven success in delivering AI agents and copilots into production, demonstrating real user engagement and measurable value.

• Extensive, hands-on experience with Dynamics 365, covering Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, and Finance & Supply Chain, as well as Power Platform and Dataverse.

• Proficient in coding and building agents using C#/.NET, Python, or TypeScript.

• Strong command of Copilot Studio, Microsoft 365 Copilot extensibility and declarative agents, Microsoft Foundry, Azure OpenAI, and Azure AI Search.

• Familiarity with RAG, grounding, multi-agent orchestration, evaluation, human-in-the-loop processes, and telemetry.

• Experience with Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, or Microsoft Agent Framework, and protocols such as MCP and A2A.

• Background in managing an AI acceptable-use policy or governance program and AI budget in a company dealing with client data.

• Knowledge of AI security and responsible AI practices, including access controls, data residency, audit trails, prompt-injection defense, content safety, Entra ID, DLP, environments, and ALM.

• Working familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Dataverse, and Power Platform.

• Ability to engage with executives, lead transformation efforts, teach, mentor engineers, and enhance AI literacy.

• Preferred: experience in Physical Operations sectors and Dynamics 365, particularly in F&SC, Customer Engagement, and Field Service.

• Preferred: Microsoft AI certifications, notably AB-731 and AB-100.

• Preferred: experience in developing reusable accelerators, intellectual property, or marketplace solutions.

• Preferred: familiarity with ISO/IEC 42001 or similar AI management standards and US state and EU AI regulations.

• Desirable: AI Agent Builder Associate (AB-620) or Azure AI Engineer Associate (AI-102).

• Willingness to travel occasionally within the United States for Microsoft, client, or industry events.
